We would like to introduce a case where our "Sofeel" system was implemented at Matsuzaki Ozaki Disaster Prevention Park in Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture. Matsuzaki Ozaki Disaster Prevention Park is equipped with an evacuation mound to serve as a primary evacuation site for those who are delayed in escaping during a tsunami. The Sofeel circulation system, which can be used as a flush toilet even during water outages, has been adopted for disaster situations. Matsuzaki Ozaki Disaster Prevention Park features a sports field and a grassy area with playground equipment, which serves as a place for citizens to relax during normal times. However, in the event of a tsunami, it is equipped with an evacuation mound to be used as a primary evacuation shelter for those who may be delayed in escaping. From the top of the mound, you can also get a panoramic view of the Kesennuma Ohshima Bridge, which connects to Kesennuma Ohshima, one of the largest inhabited islands in the Tohoku region. As a disaster prevention park, it employs a Sofil circulation system that allows the use of flush toilets even during water outages.
