High-durability concrete bench that allows for the creation of highly flexible shapes.
This is a concrete bench made using a plastering technique called "artificial stone grinding finish." The artificial stone grinding finish refers to a series of processes including rebar shaping, concrete molding, trowel application, and polishing, all of which are done by skilled artisans. Due to its smooth texture and the ability to shape it freely, it was once widely used in school drinking fountains, park slides, and modern architecture from the Taisho and Showa eras. Rebar is bent according to the shape, and concrete is filled and molded inside. A mixture of colored cement paste and aggregate (natural stone crushed) is applied, and after hardening, grinding reveals the beautiful aggregate.

basic information
Bend the D10 rebar → Solidify with concrete (without using molds) → Apply finishing mortar mixed with various types of aggregate on the surface → Continuously polish with a sander. While a certain shape is indicated in the drawings, the finish of the three-dimensional curves relies on the craftsman's intuition. We named it the "Sculpture Series" and standardized five types of stool products. To ensure quality stability, we produce the products in the factory rather than at the installation site.

What can we do for the Earth? Or let's work hard to protect the environment; we don't have to think so grandly, as there is Wind Relax Sekoro. I recently realized that since our establishment in 1999, we have been doing good things for the environment in a normal way. For example, in 2001, we quickly launched products made from a new material called "Sekoro Wood," created by mixing waste wood and waste plastic. In 2003, we released the completely independent power supply streetlights "Solight" and "Hoolight." In 2008, at our Kanto factory, we began using solar power, supported by NEDO grants, to cover part of the electricity needed for product manufacturing. The Wind Relax Sekoro project, which started to "create a landscape of relaxation," has encountered new landscapes as we live in the 21st century, often referred to as the century of the environment. We cherish this encounter and feel a desire to "eco-friendly with ease" and "pass on this wonderful Earth to our children." With products made by Wind Relax Sekoro, you can help the environment just by using them normally, without needing to do anything special. We will continue to create such products in the future.
