Shin-Yang Electric Co., Ltd. has been designing and manufacturing original lighting fixtures as a lighting manufacturer for 74 years in Japan. All processes for our original Japanese-style lighting are done by hand. Woodworking artisans in Shizuoka cut the wood and assemble each piece by hand, while we handle the electrical work in-house, emphasizing craftsmanship within Japan. For the washi (Japanese paper) parts, we use reinforced washi (Walon) that is coated with synthetic resin. It has the texture of washi, yet is resistant to tearing, with minimal color fading or deterioration. It can also be wiped with water, making maintenance easy.
