Nitto Concrete Industry's Initiatives for SDGs

We are adopting molten slag as a recycled material that can be utilized in concrete materials! We are striving to provide products with low CO2 emissions and high environmental value.

Our company is advancing initiatives to utilize recycled materials with consideration for the environment in order to achieve the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). As an example, we have adopted molten slag as a recycled material for concrete raw materials, and we have currently achieved a fine aggregate replacement rate of 100% (using Toyota molten slag). Additionally, we are planning to switch our energy source to biomass fuel and introduce electric forklifts, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 34% compared to the fiscal year 2019 by the year 2030. Through the development and sale of environmentally friendly concrete products, we will contribute to creating a town that future generations, including children and grandchildren, can feel secure in, ensuring a proud community for the next 100 years.
