Attach RFID tags to forms! Utilize them for picking disposed items to achieve an annual cost reduction of 437 person-days!
At Zip Corporation, due to the large number of SKUs, inventory searches during stocktaking were taking a considerable amount of time, leading to an overload for employees issuing instructions on-site. Additionally, relying solely on QR codes for location management was time-consuming, and the shortage of personnel made it difficult to recruit on-site staff. To address this, instead of using the main teaching materials, we affixed RFID tags to the forms that are regularly used for each SKU to manage locations. This was utilized for the biannual stocktaking and the monthly disposal searches, resulting in an annual cost reduction of 437 person-days. [Challenges] - Due to the large number of SKUs, inventory searches during stocktaking take a lot of time. - Employees issuing instructions on-site are overloaded. - Difficulty in recruiting on-site staff due to labor shortages. - Relying solely on QR codes is time-consuming for location management. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

We are developing Locus Mapping (an inventory and item management system that visualizes the location of items using RFID) and RFID production and process management systems, addressing labor shortages and improving productivity in retail, manufacturing, and logistics. RFID tags have become inexpensive, costing less than 10 yen each, and can read large quantities instantly, reducing the time for inventory and shipping tasks by 80%. Previously, it was not possible to identify the location of scanned items, but our patented technology (radio wave phase analysis) enables the identification of the location of inventory and items, which can also be utilized for location management.
