Introduction to the evaluation method for maximum values using something called the KS function!
In OPTISHAPE-TS, it is possible to evaluate the maximum values of functions distributed over the model, such as "maximum Mises stress" and "maximum displacement." However, if we literally use the maximum value as the evaluation function, we will not be able to evaluate the derivatives, making it impossible to determine sensitivity. This time, I will introduce a method for evaluating maximum values using a function called the KS function, which is adopted in OPTISHAPE-TS. Please feel free to download and take a look.
