A partial amendment to the Enforcement Order of the Act on the Promotion of Understanding and Management of the Emission of Specific Chemical Substances into the Environment was promulgated on October 20, 2021, and the PRTR system and SDS system for target substances will be implemented from April 1, 2023. Businesses with 21 or more employees that handle Class 1 designated chemical substances in amounts of 1 ton or more, or specific Class 1 designated chemical substances in amounts of 0.5 tons or more, are subject to this regulation.
