Maintaining structural integrity throughout the lift was essential not only for ensuring the safety of the lift but also for guaranteeing structural integrity and safety throughout its operational lifespan. To achieve this, we utilized Enerpac PLC-controlled 700 bar synchronized lifting technology to individually control 352 small high-pressure (700 bar) 300-ton hydraulic cylinders, which were integrated into the active skids beneath the steel structure as a group. We were able to sense and control deflection within the required range of 210 mm over a 70-meter span between the pontoon and the main superstructure, thereby protecting its integrity throughout the lifting, weighing, moving, and launching processes.
