The rooftop helipad is a civil engineering structure that is built on a building structure.
For those who have consulted us about the installation of a helipad, we offer it for free. Please feel free to contact us! A helipad is essential for the safe operation of helicopters. We present its ideal form and explain how to construct it in detail. We cater to a wide range of audiences, from beginners asking, "What is a helipad?" to local governments and hospital officials considering helipad installation, as well as architects and construction professionals involved in design and construction, and those involved in helicopter operations. We incorporate plenty of photos and illustrations, adding clear explanations in a chart format to make it easy to understand for first-time readers. This book compiles the know-how we have cultivated over the years, and by reading it, you will understand everything about helipads. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.

Applications/Examples of results
Preparation for disasters is an urgent task. While there is an increasing number of cases where heliports are being installed at government buildings, fire stations, and hospitals, there is also a rise in private facilities establishing heliports with the aim of contributing to local safety and security. The demand for heliports is not only related to disaster preparedness but is also connected to future markets where new mobility solutions, such as large unmanned transport aircraft or flying cars, will create value. As a key point connecting land and air routes safely, the importance of heliports is increasingly growing.
Detailed information
-
Rooftop helipad (with hangar and refueling facilities): By consolidating support facilities, it eliminates the need for movement to receive support, leading to a reduction in operational costs.
-
Rooftop helipad: By considering the installation of a helipad from the basic planning stage, it is possible to create a "usable helipad" that takes access from the ground into account. If using an aluminum deck, it is possible to reduce lifecycle costs.
-
Ground helicopter pad (with hangar and refueling facilities): It has the advantage of being the most cost-effective to install, but requires a large area for takeoff and landing.
-
Ground-raised helipad: It can be installed if there are few buildings taller than the helipad in the vicinity and if there is a relatively large area such as a parking lot. There is an advantage of being able to effectively utilize the space directly below the helipad.

Contributing to the safety of the skies The beginning of Aero Facility dates back to the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake (January 17, 1995). The damage caused by the earthquake, which recorded a magnitude of 7, was immense, and many may remember the broadcast footage from news helicopters. The founder, who inspected the Kobe heliport at that time, witnessed the apron turned into a quagmire due to liquefaction, buildings warped and unable to open their shutters, and helicopters that, while intact, could not be taken out of the hangar. From the founder's belief that there should be no heliport that cannot be used during a disaster, Aero Facility was established with the aim of "contributing to the safety of the skies and protecting the peace and safety of society." Aero Facility primarily focuses on heliport construction and aircraft sales. The 30 U.S.-made helicopters supplied to the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force are currently active as training aircraft for pilots involved in air defense. The number of aluminum deck heliports constructed, designed with safety as the top priority, boasts the highest record in the country with over 100 locations nationwide. Aero Facility will continue to contribute to the safety of the skies with professional proposals.
