Maintaining tool life even at low concentrations! Introducing a case study that successfully reduced liquid replenishment and improved the on-site environment.
Since its establishment in 1947, Company B in Saitama Prefecture has contributed to the local community through machining and assembly technology for automotive parts. We would like to introduce a case study where they adopted the coolant "Master Cool" for machining difficult-to-cut materials. In end mill machining of heat-resistant difficult-to-cut material SUS430, the tool life was shorter than when machining other materials, leading to the use of coolant at a high concentration. This not only increased the amount of coolant required but also worsened the workplace environment due to increased stickiness in the processing area. To address the machining of difficult-to-cut materials that require higher processing technology, they adopted a coolant specifically for difficult-to-cut materials. After adoption, they successfully reduced the coolant supply amount and improved the on-site environment. [Case Overview] ■ Background - Reduction of liquid supply amount and stickiness of equipment were issues. ■ Solution - By adopting coolant for difficult-to-cut materials, the supply amount was reduced by 50%. ■ Effect - Achieved reduction in liquid supply amount and improvement in the on-site environment. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
