The vertical tower cultivation system "Vege Tree" can grow 1.53 times more lettuce than traditional flat multi-layer cultivation. In a flat multi-layer system with a shelf size of 4000*800 per layer, 78 plants can be produced, resulting in 156 plants for two layers. On the other hand, in a vertical system with a diameter of 800 and a height of 1450, using the same volume as the flat shelf, five units are installed, with each unit cultivating 6 plants vertically, totaling 48 plants. Our rotating tower type system allows multiple plants to share fixed LED lights, making it a low-cost and efficient cultivation method that requires fewer LED lights. In family restaurants, serving robots are actively used primarily to reduce labor costs, and this method can also be applied to the rotating tower cultivation system, enabling the automation of plant factories through improvements.
