■Ultra-fine fibers The fiber diameter of human hair is about 60μm, while the fiber diameter of typical synthetic fibers ranges from 1.5 to 5μm. In contrast, the most common fiber diameter of NanoWHELP is about 300nm, making it an ultra-fine fiber that is only about 1/200 the thickness of human hair. ■Three-dimensional structure Conventional nanofibers have a flat two-dimensional structure, but NanoWHELP forms a complex three-dimensional structure characterized by a high void ratio in the fibers. Countless voids that are even finer than the fiber diameter effectively capture particles.
