The 'Large Drawer' was a job that can be considered the origin of Nibari Workshop, which specializes in custom-made steel furniture.
On October 1, 1964, the day the Tōkaidō Shinkansen was inaugurated, the predecessor, Kiyonosuke Nibari, resigned from his position as a designer at a safe manufacturer and established Nibari Works with two others. In the early days, the first project they undertook was creating large drawers for maritime charts. This work can be considered the origin of Nibari Works, which specializes in custom-made steel furniture. To create "non-standard" drawers that are not found in catalogs, various know-how was required. These know-how, referred to as elemental technologies, have been retained as the company's intellectual assets. 1. The need for drawers outside standard sizes arises from... We have received requests from various customers. There were times when we learned, "Oh, so this is how it can be used in such places." For example, we have worked with semiconductor manufacturing film factories, renowned photographers, painters who create large posters, collectors of insects and minerals, ISO-related companies managing measurement tools, general contractor designers for architectural drawings, engineering university research institutes, dental schools for storing dental materials, and museums for displaying ancient coins... and there are many more that we cannot introduce fully.

2. Most of our products are custom-made and not listed in the catalog. Since these products often cannot be covered by catalog items for storing paper materials such as drawings and maps, we receive many requests for custom orders, which we particularly recommend. ■ There are four things we would like to ask when considering or requesting. First, please let us know the following four items: "Size of the items to be stored," "Required storage capacity," "Estimated weight per shelf," and "Other requests." You can contact us via email or phone. Feel free to consult with us. The top three common requests are: "I would like it to have casters for mobility," "I would like dividers inside to match the stored items," and "Since it's difficult to access the bottom, I would like a base to raise it." 《Flow from request to delivery》 〈Hearing of request details〉→〈Proposal drawing creation (about 1 week)〉→〈Submission ⇒ Approval〉→〈Production (about 30-35 days)〉→〈Delivery〉

■Things to keep in mind in manufacturing. The previous generation, while alive, liked map cases and often watched with great interest during the welding process of extra-large sizes. 【Design】During the design phase, I pay attention to the load capacity per tier (how much it can hold) and reflect that in the drawings. For heavy items, I consider increasing the thickness of the bottom panel of the drawer by one rank, welding reinforcement materials, or changing the rails (for example, selecting slide rails instead of single rails). There are times when I suggest reducing the storage capacity per tier to the customer. 【Machining and Welding】In sheet metal processing, the precision of bending and the welding accuracy to prevent warping become important. We have a hybrid bending machine to ensure quality. Regarding welding, we take pride in our high technology that allows skilled craftsmen to produce flat surfaces without warping. 【Painting and Finishing】For painting, since the size is too large to hang on an automatic line, it will be painted using a vertical frame. During the finishing process, I carefully adjust the in-and-out movements. I keep in mind the customer's "stress-free" experience when using the product, ensuring smooth in-and-out operations.
