A customer has 13 aisles for picking in their warehouse. 70% of the overall space was empty. Additionally, it is common for products to start being placed in front of the shelves after 1 to 2 years of opening, making it difficult to see the products on the shelves in the back and resulting in a cluttered environment. Kobatech created and proposed an improvement plan using a rail-type movable shelf called "Sunrail (movable rack)" based on the current layout. Since it allows walking in any direction, it is possible to pick the desired products using the shortest route.
