Mask fit tests became mandatory starting April 2023. It is now required to conduct a fit test for respiratory protective equipment once every year!
- The individuals required to undergo fit testing are those who perform metal arc welding and similar tasks "continuously" in "indoor workspaces." - There are two methods for fit testing: quantitative and qualitative. - No matter how excellent the filter performance of a mask is, if the mask does not fit the face, its original performance cannot be realized. Fit testing is necessary to confirm both "filter performance" and "seal with the face." - Midori Safety handles all related products for fit testing (fit testers, masks, adapters, and options). - An overview of fit testing, implementation methods, and details of fit testing-related products can be found on the Midori Safety.com fit testing special feature on the online shopping site. Our handled fit test kit FT-10, FIT-2 type - For disposable dust masks, a probe kit is required. - For quantitative fit testing of replaceable dust masks and powered air-purifying respirators, a sampling adapter is required.
