The "OSJ Method" is an open-cut pipe installation method that continuously and repeatedly performs a series of tasks from excavation to backfilling. By adopting a hydraulic mechanism, it operates with no vibration and no noise. Since backfilling is done immediately after excavation, the work area is short, allowing for quick traffic reopening and minimizing the impact on residents' lives. 【Principle of Advancement】 ■1. When the hydraulic jack is extended, the tail frame retracts, compacting the backfill soil, and when sufficient reaction force is obtained, the front section advances and the cutting edge penetrates into the face. ■2. Next, as the excavation of the face proceeds and the hydraulic jack is retracted, the self-weight of the front section and the frictional force on the surrounding surface serve as reaction forces to advance the tail frame, while backfill soil is placed into the resulting void at the rear. ■3.
