Wireless mesh with Modbus RTU
A wireless mesh that performs self-optimization relays messages from wireless nodes connected to Modbus slaves to gateway nodes connected to the master. Even if the communication environment changes, the communication path is always optimized to ensure reliable data transmission. Thanks to LumenRadio's patented unique frequency hopping, it operates at 2.4GHz without interference from or to other radio waves, achieving cognitive coexistence and stable communication in any environment. By using this product to wireless-enable Modbus RTU, it connects Modbus networks in locations previously abandoned due to the limitations of cable installation, while also providing high flexibility in equipment layout. Additionally, eliminating cable installation contributes to reducing construction costs and shortening construction periods. The setup of the master and slave is completed in three steps after powering on, and the mesh topology is fully automatic, requiring no cumbersome configurations. A single master (gateway) can manage up to 100 nodes within one network.

Applications/Examples of results
When updating existing equipment that uses Modbus for control and monitoring with PLCs, or during layout changes, this product allows devices that were previously fixed by cables to be liberated, enabling wireless connections even in locations where communication was difficult. This product can be retrofitted to all equipment using Modbus RTU, and installation is very straightforward. The advantage of going wireless is that it allows for large-scale management of a single network, including locations where cable installation is challenging. Thanks to LumenRadio's patented technology, this product can reliably establish infrastructure even in noisy factory or plant environments. Many of the utilized devices are Modbus-connected equipment in production facilities where cable installation is difficult or where system operation cannot be halted, as well as in the building management sector for managing HVAC systems and in outdoor applications such as monitoring solar power generation.

This is an overview of the W-Modbus system. Up to 100 nodes can connect wirelessly in a mesh to a single Modbus gateway, with each node connected to a Modbus slave. The nodes relay messages to each other, and the communication paths across the network are always optimized, ensuring that each message is reliably transmitted to the gateway. Each W-Modbus node connects to one slave, but when connecting multiple slaves that are in close proximity, using W-ModbusPro allows for connecting up to four slaves to a single node.

Model number | overview |
---|---|
W-Modbus | This device serves as both a gateway and a node. You can set any one of them as the gateway, while the others can be individually connected to Modbus slaves, one by one. |
W-Modbus Pro | The W-Modbus Pro can connect up to four nearby Modbus slaves at once. It is possible to connect them collectively without having to install individual W-Modbus nodes, as long as there are up to four devices. |

Our company was born out of the stage production industry. We aim to contribute to the cultural enhancement of people's lives by creating spaces that allow individuals to live better, based on the skills and sensibilities (such as meticulous production techniques and wireless technology) gained from the demanding and unforgiving world of stage production, as well as our desire to entertain people. Additionally, we provide technologies to domestic tech companies that contribute to the cultural life of Japanese society while simultaneously working towards the realization of a sustainable society. We hope that this will serve as a catalyst for new product development and the birth of services, indirectly contributing to the emergence of better products and services in Japanese society. In this sense, our business is defined by the dual purpose of contributing to cultural life and achieving a sustainable society. 1. Providing products and technologies that stimulate all living spaces through smart architectural lighting control and artistic visual technologies, as well as the effects gained from their combination. 2. Offering technologies and products that contribute to energy saving through wireless technology, smart building management, efficiency in maintenance work, and CO2 reduction. We import and provide products based on these two principles.
