In recent years, over half of the total population of drivers is aged 50 and above, indicating a trend of fewer new workers from younger generations. One of the major reasons behind the driver shortage is the poor loading efficiency of trucks. To resolve this issue, it is necessary to implement "integrated palletization," which allows for consistent transportation from shipment to unloading while maintaining pallet stacking. However, there are challenges such as the costs associated with returning empty pallets, management fees, and inventory imbalances. As a solution, we propose the rental of pallets. With an overwhelming number of bases, we can reduce return costs, and being directly connected to manufacturers allows for immediate response to inventory imbalances.
