[Case Study] Installation Example of Water-Flushing Bio-Toilets at Historical Sites

We would like to introduce a case where a waterless bio-toilet was installed at the site of the Hara Castle ruins in Minami Shimabara City, Nagasaki Prefecture, which is close to being registered as a World Heritage Site. Due to the historical nature of the site, excavation and other activities were not possible, and there was a request for a toilet that does not require water supply and drainage, while also being environmentally friendly. The toilet was installed to ensure that tourists can use it comfortably and without odors, just like any regular facility.
