The fully automatic water softener utilizes "ion exchange resin" inside the main unit to soften water. By regularly cleaning (regenerating) the ion exchange resin according to the hardness and volume of the water used, it is possible to maintain softening. The cleaning (regeneration) of the ion exchange resin is done using saltwater. The regeneration process (cleaning of the ion exchange resin) consists of a total of 8 steps and operates for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
