The "Dinner hosted by the Prime Minister and his wife" was held on October 23, where the Prime Minister and his wife welcomed the new Emperor and Empress, hosting guests who visited from abroad to attend the ceremony of the enthronement. The Hotel New Otani's "Tsuru no Ma" was selected as the banquet hall under the condition that it could invite distinguished guests and also showcase traditional Japanese culture through cultural events.
