The cup method allows for the simultaneous automatic weight measurement of 6 samples of low, medium, and high water vapor barrier materials, providing high efficiency in water vapor permeability.
The WVTR-W6 water vapor transmission rate testing system provides high-efficiency water vapor transmission rate tests based on the cup method (gravimetric method) across a wide testing range for low, medium, and high water vapor barrier materials, with simultaneous fully automated weight measurements of 6 samples. It is suitable for measuring the water vapor transmission rates of various materials, including plastic films, composite films, medical applications, and construction materials. By efficiently testing water vapor transmission rates, it enables control of the technical indicators of materials and meets production requirements at low costs. In addition to the simultaneous measurement of 6 samples, devices for simultaneous measurement of 3 samples and 12 samples are also available. Measurement Principle Based on the gravimetric measurement determination method, a constant humidity difference is generated on both sides of the test specimen at a specific test temperature. Water vapor permeates through the specimen to the dry side. By measuring the weight change of the test dish at different times, the water vapor transmission rate and other parameters are obtained. Standards JIS Z0208, ASTM E96, ASTM D1653, GB 1037, GB/T 16928, YY/T0471, TAPPI T464, ISO 2528, YBB 00092003
