"Pyrosealant" is a sealing and gasketing agent made from a heat-resistant synthetic iron oxide that cures at room temperature. It aids in room temperature curing through the action of amorphous silicon, polydimethylsiloxane, iron oxide, and curing catalysts. Available in a 310-milliliter cartridge, it can be used directly with standard caulking guns. It has heat resistance of 287°C continuous and 343°C intermittent, and is used for gaskets or sealing.
