The "IM-5A-010" is a handheld microphone (without built-in amplifier) for vehicle cradles manufactured by Mobile Create. It is a speaker + microphone used for installing the Mobile Create IP radio (iMESH) IM-550 in a vehicle. It is used in combination with the IM-550 and the vehicle cradle IM-5A-009. It connects to the modular connector on the front of the vehicle cradle. The power for the handheld microphone IM-5A-010 is supplied from the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Therefore, the microphone can only be used when the ACC is on (engine on). It features a large PTT button that is easy to press even when wearing gloves or work gloves. A stretchable coiled cable that is less likely to tangle and break is used.
