Since the drilled holes would collapse if left as they are, PVC or iron pipes with 4mm holes are regularly arranged and inserted as "hole preservation pipes" down to the bottom of the hole. Water flowing into the holes of these "hole preservation pipes" is directed to the outlet, thereby discharging groundwater to the surface.
