We will significantly shorten the examination, prototype testing, and design period related to the contract, and reduce costs.
■EVO PT is a thread-forming screw for resin developed by the German company EJOT. The torque during screwing does not increase regardless of the screw length. This allows for stable fastening operations even when there are variations in driver torque or pilot hole depth. ■Additionally, by using the dedicated simulator EVO CALC, it is possible to examine the conditions for successful screwing that were previously considered through prototypes, significantly reducing the costs, effort, and testing time required for adoption. ■Yamashina is entrusted with manufacturing and sales as the official licensee in Japan. ■Key points are explained in a video. basic information
■We will reduce the examination period required for fastening by 40%. This is a completely new solution that can shorten the examination period for our customers from the typical 8 months to approximately 4.75 months. ■One type accommodates various lengths. The special female thread forming section reduces resistance during screwing in, allowing the female thread to be formed with a consistently low screwing torque. This makes it very simple to set the target torque during fastening, regardless of the boss length. ■Excellent fastening performance. The newly developed screw section provides high pull-out strength, high break torque, and high axial force. The tip is designed to enter the pilot hole straight, making it suitable for automation using robots. The counterbore can be shortened to about one-third of existing products, enabling a reduction in boss depth. Due to low friction during screwing, it can be screwed in at high speeds, minimizing heat generation and preventing damage to the resin. It is also suitable for hard resins like GF-40 and has good reusability. ■Use of the dedicated simulator EVO CALC. By inputting information about the counterpart material, it calculates the appropriate pilot hole diameter, screwing torque, and failure mode. It also simulates changes in axial force due to creep of the resin and temperature variations after fastening.
Price information
If standardization and unification of screws can be achieved with EVO PT and EVO CALC, the production quantity per lot will increase, making it more reasonable.

Applications/Examples of results
1. It is optimal when you want to shorten the testing period for heat cycle tests and the specifications of screws required for fastening. 2. When you want to unify various lengths of screws into one type and standardize them. 3. For fastening work where you want to screw in at high speed. 4. For use with hard resins such as GF-40. 5. When you want to suppress the heat generation of the boss during screwing and reduce its damage. 6. For the robotization (automation) of fastening. ■ For more details, please visit Yamashina's website. https://www.kk-yamashina.co.jp/product/evo-pt.html

Established in 1917, during the dawn of mass production of screws in Japan, the company succeeded in producing the first domestic cross-recessed screws in 1949 and cooperated with the government to localize tapping screws in 1954. The company holds data on over 200,000 types of screws and bolts, enabling the high-quality manufacturing of various shaped products. Recently, it has focused on investing in research and development, working on tapping bolts with a diameter of 6mm or more, high-strength aluminum bolts, tapping screws for thin steel plates, and tapping screws for CFRP, which will support the next generation. The company is committed to innovative technological development without being bogged down by history.
