A fluororesin coating with acid resistance prevents ignition of the substrate during electrolyte leakage. It is a room-temperature drying fluorine coating agent that also prevents corrosion of metal parts.
Fluorine coating agents exhibit outstanding resistance to lithium battery electrolyte compared to other resin coating agents. They can prevent fires caused by circuit short circuits when the electrolyte leaks, as well as corrosion of metal parts. They provide protective functions such as moisture resistance, saltwater resistance, water resistance, acid resistance, resistance to lithium battery electrolyte, and water and oil repellency, all in a thin film. They have a proven track record as safety measures in various fields, including aircraft, automotive circuit boards, and mobile devices. **Challenges Addressed by Fluorine Coating:** - No short circuits occur even if lithium battery electrolyte leaks and adheres to the circuit pattern on the board. - Can be easily applied with dispensers and dries within minutes at room temperature. It minimizes weight increase due to the coating film, making it suitable for lightweight devices such as mobile equipment. ■ It exhibits strong protective effects against acidic gases, saline solutions, and corrosive liquids, also providing rust prevention effects. ■ Unlike silicone, it does not contain low molecular compounds, so it does not cause contact failure of electrical contacts after application. ■ It dries at room temperature, with a drying time of 5 seconds to 30 minutes. No heating is required. ■ The non-flammable solvent type is non-flammable and low toxicity. It is not subject to PRTR law or fire service regulations, eliminating the need for explosion-proof equipment or quantity management. ■ It does not fall under the organic solvents regulated by the Industrial Safety and Health Act. ■ It has low viscosity and is easy to handle.
