The definition of engineering plastics (often abbreviated as "Enpla") is not very clear, but it is said to include: Tensile strength: 500 kgf/cm² (49 MPa) or more Flexural modulus: 20,000 kgf/cm² (1,960 MPa) or more Heat resistance: over 100°C Among engineering plastics, five commonly used types are referred to as the "five major engineering plastics." PA (Polyamide): Often referred to by the DuPont trademark name Nylon.
