The "CMP816B" is a talk-type lapel microphone designed for simultaneous communication transceivers made by Standard. It can be used with Standard's specific low-power transceivers of the simultaneous communication type. Since it is a talk-type microphone (directional microphone), using it close to your mouth makes it less likely to pick up surrounding noise, making it suitable for use in noisy environments. Additionally, it features noise-canceling functionality to suppress ambient noise. Communication starts by pressing the call button (PTT) located on the microphone part. It also comes with a windscreen cap on the microphone part, so wind noise is not a concern during outdoor use. An earphone (2.5Φ, 50cm long) is also included.
