VRG prevents cage displacement with THK's unique rack and pinion mechanism. It is a cross roller guide that achieves stable operation.
The cross roller guide is a linear guide that achieves high precision and smooth sliding motion by moving a roller cage, which is composed of precision rollers arranged alternately at right angles, along a 90° V-groove rolling surface provided on a dedicated rail with a limited stroke. However, the cross roller guide may experience cage displacement due to vibrations, inertial forces, and impacts from the device's drive. Cage displacement can lead to significant changes in sliding resistance and stroke amount, and in some cases, it can even cause device failure. The VRG, which employs THK's unique rack and pinion mechanism, suppresses the occurrence of cage displacement specific to cross roller guides while enabling smooth and stable continuous operation, contributing to the longevity of the device. The mounting dimensions are compatible with the existing cross roller guide VR products. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*
