The installation interval for embedded inclinometers is 2 meters, while the measurement interval for insertion-type inclinometers is based on 1 meter!
The measurement of horizontal displacement of retaining walls is usually conducted by comparing it with the management standard values set from the design values, in order to manage the safety of the retaining walls. The measurement methods include automatic measurement using embedded inclinometers and manual measurement using inserted inclinometers. In both cases, guide pipes (steel square pipes 75mm x 75mm) are installed on the retaining wall, but the embedded inclinometers are buried after the installation of the retaining wall. For both measurements, the obtained measurement values (inclination angles) are multiplied by distance to convert them into horizontal displacement amounts, and by cumulatively adding from the bottom end of the retaining wall upwards, the overall deformation (distribution) is determined. Our company generally sets the installation interval for embedded inclinometers at 2 meters and the measurement interval for inserted inclinometers at 1 meter. In addition, we also conduct measurements of "cut beam axial force, ground anchor axial force," "rebound and ground subsidence," and "groundwater level." 【Regarding the setting of management standard values】 ■ Primary management standard value: Maximum displacement at the time of design × 80% ■ Secondary management standard value: Maximum displacement at the time of design × 100% *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
**Overview** **Measurement of Cutting Beam Axial Force and Ground Anchor Axial Force** - The measurement of cutting beam axial force and ground anchor axial force is typically conducted to confirm the safety of the support structure by comparing it with the management standard values set from the design values. - Surface strain gauges are used for cutting beam axial force, and center hole type load cells are used for anchor axial force. **Measurement of Rebound and Ground Settlement** - Primarily, wire-type displacement gauges are used for measurement. - Before excavation, boring is conducted at the measurement location, and a water pressure anchor fixed to the end of the measurement wire is inserted. - After applying water pressure from the ground to secure the anchor to the ground, a conversion unit (detector) is installed at the head. - The fixed point is considered to be the lowest anchor, and the displacement of each point is calculated. **Measurement of Groundwater Level** - A pressure gauge is used for measurement. - Boring is conducted at the measurement location, and a pressure gauge is installed at the measurement depth. - PVC pipes are usually inserted into the borehole to protect the hole wall. - Since the measured value is detected as water pressure, it is converted to water level by multiplying by the installation depth. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

We are professionals in "measuring," engaged in everything from sensor design and manufacturing to measurement services. We are a sensor manufacturer established in 1976, used to detect various behaviors such as rock mass movements, strain and internal stress within concrete, and the settlement and tilting of existing structures near construction sites, to ensure safety during construction and stability after completion when creating large structures like dams, tunnels, bridges, and skyscrapers. Our various sensors provide data confirming safety for Japan's representative structures, such as the Yokohama Bay Bridge, Landmark Tower, and Kansai International Airport, as well as urban underground infrastructure like subways and water supply and drainage systems, and hydropower plants, radioactive waste facilities, and underground storage facilities located hundreds of meters underground.
