We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of Blickle's "swivel caster with wheel lock" by a major U.S. manufacturer of carts for storing and transporting retail products. Previously, the company used swivel casters with brakes on the wheels and swivel parts, but the fixed swivel parts frequently broke due to vibrations during transport. As a solution, the new casters adopted a wheel lock without brakes on the swivel part. As a result, the wheel lock "FIRA" significantly reduced failures and damages during transport, and the lever no longer hit the bottom plate of the cart, making locking and unlocking easier.
