[Case Study] Improvement of Durability Against Alkaline Solutions

Solving major issues that occur a few times a year! A case where resistance to alkaline solution was developed, preventing peeling.

We would like to introduce a case study that solved the problems faced by cleaning equipment manufacturers, semiconductor equipment manufacturers, and plating equipment manufacturers. 【Problem】 ◆ Fluororesin is coated, but when an alkaline cleaning solution is used in the cleaning process, the coating peels off immediately. 【Improvement】 Many primers (adhesives) for fluororesin coatings expand in alkaline conditions, and depending on the concentration, there are many cases where they peel off quickly. Additionally, alkaline solutions can penetrate through pinholes (small holes) in the painted area, eventually pushing up the coating from the inside and causing it to peel off.
