It helped enhance safety at the corner. The FF mirror can be installed at eye level, allowing blind spots to be naturally visible. (Nippon Steel Setouchi Works)
We would like to introduce the voice of Nippon Steel Corporation, Setouchi Works, who implemented the FF mirror corridor. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… The mirrors that were previously installed at blind corners were positioned too high, making them easy to overlook. Therefore, we decided to install the FF mirrors, which provide a wide-angle view on a flat surface, at a lower height, allowing them to naturally catch the eye (FT46 at 3 locations). This has strengthened our safety measures. We are currently considering additional measures for other areas that require attention. Company information
When it comes to mirrors, most people probably think of mirrors that reflect only themselves (such as full-length mirrors, hand mirrors, or three-way mirrors). However, Komi's mirror is designed to observe the movements of other objects and people, and to show "consideration" for others. For example, it can be used to check with a mirror if there is anyone coming around a corner to avoid a collision, or to see if there is someone trying to get into an elevator and wait for them. Komi's "considerate mirror" is useful worldwide, from convenience stores to airplanes.
