【Overview】 ■Purpose: AE observation, microseismic observation ■Category: Measurement equipment ■Related products: High-performance, low-power telemetry ■Scope of provision: Firmware extension, IoT device implementation support 【Background and Challenges】 To enable long-term AE observation in remote environments where commercial power and broadband are unavailable, there was a need for a low-power data logger that supports high-speed sampling and IoT devices for on-site recording and regular status monitoring. 【Provided Products and Realized System】 The "LT-7700" was selected as the data logger capable of solving the challenges. Typically, the LT-7700 is often used in telemetry mode, but this time, the low-power functionality in logger mode is beneficial. AE is a high-frequency yet subtle vibration phenomenon, and the LT-7700 can continuously record sensor signals at a sampling rate of up to 1000Hz for extended periods. In response to requests from the Earth Science Research Institute, we provided firmware extensions that allow user scripts to be executed and support services for the implementation of IoT devices.
