A product that helps prevent valve damage by knowing the appropriate tightening torque to avoid damage to the valve due to valve breakage, bending of the valve stem, or damage to the threaded portion.
Valves such as shut-off valves and fire hydrants may experience damage, bending of the valve stem, or damage to the threaded parts due to excessive torque during opening and closing. The torque limiter prevents excessive torque from being applied to the target valve during operation by slipping (freewheeling) when the set torque is exceeded, thereby neutralizing the excessive torque that would burden the valve. During freewheeling, this device clicks and rotates, making it easy to determine when torque has been applied. Features: - The body is made of stainless steel (SCS13), providing excellent corrosion resistance and durability, allowing for safe long-term use. - It can withstand approximately 10,000 freewheeling (slip) operations as a guideline for usage. When the number of usable operations is exceeded, the operating torque of the limiter may decrease due to spring fatigue. In such cases, it can be addressed through spring replacement and repair (for a fee). - It can be used for training operators and to prevent product damage during actual operations.
