Compared to USB repeater cables, there are the following advantages! ■ Stable operation USB repeater cables generally extend USB signals by repeating them through a USB hub IC. This can lead to degradation of USB signal quality. The USB30 series converts USB signals into light for transmission, eliminating the need for components like USB hub ICs that repeat (relay) the signal. ■ Good workability USB repeater cables often have a small housing (box) to implement the USB hub IC in the middle of the cable. This housing is part of the cable but, of course, that section cannot bend. Additionally, the housing can be obstructive, making it impossible to run the cable or causing undue stress. The BAY-USB30 series has no such housing in between and the cable itself is also thin. ■ Common features Compatible with USB 3.0 / 2.0 / 1.1 Maximum length of 15m Cable diameter of 4.5mm Compatible with Windows and Apple iOS No dedicated software required / Operates on PC's USB bus power.
