Simultaneous high-efficiency volatile removal and low-temperature extrusion are possible! Introducing water-added degassing extrusion technology.
Our company uses a twin-screw extruder called 'TEX' for one method of removing volatile components from polymers, known as devolatilization extrusion. To meet the increasingly stringent requirements for reducing residual volatile component concentrations year by year, we have developed a water-addition devolatilization extrusion technology. By injecting water as a devolatilization aid, it is possible to enhance the devolatilization performance to levels that were previously unattainable (residual volatile component concentrations of several +ppm or several ppm). This technology involves providing a kneading section that combines a seal ring and a kneading disk upstream of the vacuum vent, allowing for water injection under high resin pressure. **Advantages of using water as a devolatilization aid:** - Easily obtainable - Inexpensive - High latent heat - Does not react with most resins - Easy to separate *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
