In the past, Inoue Transport Machinery Co., Ltd. used Fujitsu's card-type digital tachographs and other companies' drive recorders. They primarily handle large vehicles and engage in long-distance transportation, so safe driving was thoroughly enforced. Furthermore, in order to enhance driver support, they switched to the network-type digital tachograph "DTS-D1D" equipped with a drive recorder in October 2015. The reasons for this choice were the convenience of being cardless and the ability to monitor vehicle dynamics in real-time. Additionally, they wanted to avoid having drivers use mobile phones or smartphones, so they also implemented a voice call option, which has been introduced in 18 vehicles responsible for long-distance transportation.
