This is an introduction to an insulation material that has further refined conventional acrylic fibers into finer fibers, achieving a thermal conductivity of 0.032 W/(m·K)!
We would like to introduce our insulation material, "Acria α." It features ultra-fine fibers with a fiber diameter of approximately 3 microns. With a density of 36 kg/m³, it achieves a thermal conductivity of 0.032 W/(m·K), and with a density of 20 kg/m³, it achieves a thermal conductivity of 0.034 W/(m·K), providing excellent insulation performance. We offer a lineup that includes "Acria Next α" for walls, equipped with a high-performance moisture barrier film, and "Acria Mat α" for ceilings. 【Features】 ■ Ultra-fine fibers with a fiber diameter of approximately 3 microns ■ Achieves high insulation performance ■ The 36K type meets energy-saving standards with a thickness of 105 mm for walls and floors in Hokkaido ■ The 20K type is suitable for ZEH and high-insulation homes in regions south of Honshu *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Asahi Fiberglass began operations in 1956 as Japan's first manufacturer specializing in fiberglass. Since then, we have supplied a variety of fiberglass products centered around glass wool, an essential insulation material for energy conservation, while striving to develop new applications and provide high-quality products to the market. During this time, fiberglass has expanded its applications not only in traditional fields such as insulation and sound absorption materials and reinforced structural materials but also as composite and high-performance materials in electronics, communications, space, biotechnology, and environmental conservation. It is now widely utilized in various aspects of our daily lives. To enhance customer satisfaction, we continuously strive to create new value from the customer's perspective. We are actively working on expanding new business initiatives, including the development of new glass wool products, various types of insulation and sound absorption materials, high-performance new materials and composites in the industrial materials sector utilizing the composite material technology accumulated throughout our history, and an expanded product lineup in the building materials sector.
