[Information] We propose the structural evaluation of polymer brushes using BET specific surface area, dynamic light scattering method, and streaming potential method!
This document introduces the characterization of polymer-inorganic hybrid materials using dynamic light scattering and gas adsorption methods. Particles immobilized with polymer brushes, which are organic-inorganic hybrid materials, are expected to possess excellent properties of both organic materials, such as flexibility and lightweight, and inorganic materials, such as heat resistance and durability. Understanding their structure is very important. Therefore, this document proposes structural evaluation methods using gas adsorption, dynamic light scattering, and streaming potential methods for core-shell type polymer brushes (poly(methyl methacrylate): PMMA) immobilized cerium oxide (CeO2-PMMA), as shown in Fig. 1, which attempts to control particle morphology and improve dispersibility.
