With the mercury intrusion method, as the curing time increases, the pore diameter decreases, and the pore volume also decreases.
This document introduces the analysis of the pore structure of cement hydration products. It is known that the pore structure of cement hydration products and the moisture contained within the pores significantly affect the strength and durability of concrete. Here, we evaluated the pore volume and pore size distribution based on differences in the curing time of cement using the mercury intrusion method, and additionally assessed the true density and porosity using the gas replacement method.
