Measurement of particle size distribution of etenzamide and observation of particle shape using SEM.

This document discusses the suitable grinding conditions for a jet mill based on the particle size distribution measurements and SEM shape observations of the crystalline active pharmaceutical ingredient, ethenzamide. In the manufacturing of formulations, the control of the physical properties such as the fine particle size and shape of the active ingredient is an important factor for the enhancement of tablets (tensile strength, solubility, compaction properties).
