This is an example of preventing slope collapse in advance with "Unit Net," which balances slope stabilization and the conservation of the natural environment.
Mikune District, Sayō Town, Sayō County, Hyōgo Prefecture ◆ Damage from Typhoon No. 23 in 2004 In response to the damage caused by Typhoon No. 23 in 2004, "unit nets" were adopted at planned locations for the restoration of windfall trees and slope collapses, and construction was sequentially ordered based on the plan. ◆ Damage from Typhoon No. 9 in 2009 While construction was progressing sequentially for restoration measures, we were hit by damage from Typhoon No. 9 in 2009. Slope collapses occurred in surrounding areas, centered around the restoration plan area. Although there were still unaddressed areas within the restoration plan that experienced slope collapses, the adjacent area where "unit nets" had been installed was able to prevent collapses. There were houses below the slopes, but thanks to the installation of "unit nets," safety was successfully maintained. ● For more details, please download the materials.

basic information
Overview of the "Unit Net Method" The "Unit Net Method" is a ground reinforcement technique that stabilizes slopes where trees and other vegetation grow, without cutting down those trees, while preserving the landscape and natural environment. It consists of a unit net that covers the entire slope in question, reinforcement materials (rock bolts) installed at the intersections of the net, and pressure plates at the heads of the reinforcement materials. Daika Corporation has contributed to the development of Japan's social infrastructure through the sale of industrial explosives since its establishment in 1931. Currently, the range of products handled by Daika includes industrial explosives, construction materials, slope disaster prevention technology, and synthetic resin products, among others. All of these are connected by keywords such as "reduction of environmental impact," "economic efficiency," "safety and security," and "maintenance and management." For example, in slope disaster prevention technology, while improving safety is a fundamental goal, we are also developing construction methods that have low environmental impact and are economically viable. Additionally, synthetic resin products possess the advantages of reducing environmental impact through recycling and excellent economic efficiency. In order to leave a slightly better living environment for the next generation, we aim to enhance our product offerings that seek harmony between the environment and society, contributing to the realization of a livable society now and in the future.
