Aspherix, released in 2020 by the Austrian company DCS, which promotes the open-source projects CFDEMproject and LIGGGHTS, is a commercial DEM analysis software designed to simulate complex particle shapes and particle behavior in multiphase flows through collaboration with CFDEMcoupling. The domestic distributor, CAE Solutions, will leverage its experience in contracted analysis and support for CFDEM, LIGGGHTS, and OpenFOAM to promote the use of particle and powder simulation, which is increasingly in demand in civil engineering, chemistry, food, and pharmaceuticals.
