The characteristics of carbon and graphite materials used in carbon brushes can generally be assessed based on electrical resistivity, hardness, bending strength, and bulk density. In the case of metal graphite, the metal content is also provided in addition to the above items. All data presented are average values. The testing methods and equipment generally conform to IEC60413.
