INTERTEC-Hess Arctic Shelter | Thick Insulation Wall Panel in GRP/PU/GRP Sandwich Construction for Cold Climate Applications The walls and doors of the Arctic Shelter feature a GRP/PU/GRP sandwich construction combining GRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyester) and PU (polyurethane) foam. Unlike the Basic type (20 mm wall thickness) and Classic type, the Arctic type features an adjustable wall thickness design, allowing the optimal wall thickness to be selected based on the ambient temperature of the installation environment and the required insulation performance. The Arctic series sandwich panels are manufactured using high-precision CNC machining, delivering stable insulation performance across a wide range of temperature conditions.

INTERTEC-Hess Arctic Shelter | Robust Specifications and Extensive Options for Cold and Extreme Climate Environments The Arctic Shelter's standard specifications feature panels in a polyester/PU sandwich construction with a gelcoat finish applied to the exterior for high weathering resistance. The standard wall thickness is 55 mm, adjustable to meet required insulation performance levels. The standard color is RAL 7032 (light grey), with RAL 7001 grey available under the "GO" antistatic option. Available options include stainless steel or aluminum mounting hardware, variable wall thickness, door windows, fire-resistant specification, and ATEX-certified air conditioning, accommodating a wide range of installation conditions from cold climates to hazardous (Ex) areas.

INTERTEC-Hess Arctic Shelter | High-Precision CNC-Machined Corner Joint Design for Superior Airtightness The photograph on this slide shows the corner joint detail of an Arctic Shelter. The GRP/PU sandwich panels are precisely machined and joined, confirming that thermal insulation continuity is maintained through the corner section. Arctic series sandwich panels are manufactured using high-precision CNC machining, with corners engineered to eliminate thermal bridging. This high-quality corner construction prevents condensation, freezing, and degradation of insulation performance even in extreme cold environments, maintaining stable internal temperature control for housed equipment over the long term.

INTERTEC-Hess Arctic Shelter | Large-Scale HVAC-Integrated Analyzer Shelter Installation at an Industrial Plant The photograph on this slide shows a large analyzer shelter equipped with an HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system being lifted and installed at an industrial plant by crane. The front face of the shelter features multiple sample inlet ports and doors for analytical instruments arranged in an orderly configuration, forming a unit that houses an entire plant analytical system. INTERTEC has an extensive track record in analyzer shelters including ATEX Zone 1-compliant GRP HVAC systems for desert region applications. The lightweight nature and high insulation performance of GRP shelters enable efficient transportation and installation of large units, as well as long-term stable operation on site.

INTERTEC-Hess Arctic Shelter | Analyzer Shelter Installation on an Offshore Oil & Gas Platform The photograph on this slide shows an INTERTEC analyzer shelter being installed by crane on an offshore oil and gas platform. The high corrosion resistance and saltwater resistance of the GRP material ensure long-term stable operation even in the harsh marine environment of high humidity, salt spray, wind, and vibration characteristic of offshore installations. The shelter integrates analyzers, sampling systems, and electrical equipment in a compact enclosure optimized for the limited space available on offshore platforms. INTERTEC has an extensive track record in cabinets and shelters for marine applications, with numerous deliveries to offshore projects in the North Sea, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region.

INTERTEC-Hess Arctic Shelter | Electronic Equipment Protection Shelter Installed on a Radar Base Station Tower The photograph on this slide shows an INTERTEC shelter installed on a radar antenna base station tower, protecting radar control equipment and communications electronics from outdoor wind and rain, temperature fluctuations, and UV radiation. The excellent weathering resistance, lightweight properties, and non-magnetic characteristics of GRP make it particularly well suited for radar and communications infrastructure applications, where equipment protection must be achieved without causing radio frequency interference. The product has a proven track record across a wide range of applications including airports, seaports, meteorological observation facilities, and defense installations.

INTERTEC-Hess Arctic Shelter | Electronic Equipment Protection Shelter for Rooftop and Outdoor Mobile Telecommunications Base Stations The photograph on this slide shows an INTERTEC shelter installed adjacent to mobile telecommunications base station antenna towers, providing long-term protection for base station electronic equipment against outdoor conditions including wind, rain, UV radiation, temperature fluctuations, and salt spray. The non-magnetic and non-conductive properties of GRP material eliminate radio frequency interference, making it well suited for installation at telecommunications infrastructure facilities. The lightweight design also minimizes the structural load on rooftop installations. INTERTEC cabinets and shelters are widely adopted as long-term outdoor equipment protection solutions across the transportation and telecommunications infrastructure sectors.

INTERTEC-Hess Classic Cabinet | Custom Side Scraper Operator Cabin and E-House Configuration The photograph on this slide shows a custom operator cabin and E-house developed by INTERTEC-Hess for a side scraper application. An HVAC and ventilation unit is mounted on top of the large blue-painted shelter body, while a large glazed operator cabin is integrated along the left side to provide the operator with a commanding view. This specialized custom configuration demonstrates the flexibility of INTERTEC GRP Classic Cabinets and Shelters to accommodate unique application requirements. Adopted as operator cabins and E-houses for mining, port, and heavy industrial equipment, the design simultaneously provides a comfortable working environment for personnel and reliable protection for electrical equipment.

INTERTEC-Hess Arctic Shelter | Polar Bear-Resistant Specification Operator Cabin for the Yamal LNG Terminal The photograph on this slide shows INTERTEC operator cabins and shelters installed at an LNG terminal on the Yamal Peninsula, Russia. The blue-painted operator cabins are installed at multiple levels on a high-rise crane structure, built to a special specification for operation in the extreme cold of the Yamal Peninsula (below −50°C). As the designation "polar bear-resistant specification" suggests, a particularly robust structural design has been adopted to withstand contact and intrusion by large wildlife. INTERTEC GRP shelters provide highly reliable personnel and equipment protection solutions for LNG, oil, and gas projects in polar and cold climate regions around the world.
