Introducing two types of hole drilling for glass: "round hole drilling" and "square hole drilling"!
This is an introduction to the process of drilling holes in glass that we perform. This process is essential when attaching hardware to glass, such as glass doors or glass nameplates, as it involves creating holes in the glass. There are two types of drilling: "round hole drilling" and "square hole drilling." Since drilling holes in glass reduces its strength, we recommend performing strengthening treatment as well. <Features of Round Hole Drilling> - A process for creating holes used as insertion points for hardware. - There are 20 different sizes of holes ranging from 5φ to 40φ. - For tempered glass, a hole diameter greater than the thickness of the glass is required. <Features of Square Hole Drilling> - A process for creating square-shaped holes. - The corners of the holes must have a rough finish with a radius of at least 5R (5mm radius) for strength maintenance. - For polished holes, an R shape of 12R (12mm radius) or more is required.
