Cost reduction case in the Tohoku region: Overseas transportation of delicate products such as optical components.
If you have any overseas shipping products that are causing you trouble, please feel free to contact us! We can also make suitable proposals for products that do not have physical samples.
We would like to introduce a case study of cushioning materials used for prisms in the optical field. Due to the inability to lend out the actual product, we proposed a cushioning material design based solely on the external dimensions of the product. This time, since it is for overseas shipment rather than domestic, there were concerns about handling. Therefore, a key point was to ensure that the packaging materials had sufficient strength, and we adopted sturdy cardboard for the outer box. Additionally, we implemented double packaging that minimizes the risk of accidents such as punctures without impacting the product. By conducting cushioning design, we ensured that even delicate products, such as optical components that are vulnerable to shocks, can be safely shipped overseas. Even for products without physical samples, our packaging material engineers can make suitable proposals by utilizing their experience and equipment such as 3D-CAD. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Whether it is [one-way] or [commuting], whether cushioning is necessary, and the effects related to static electricity... the optimal materials vary depending on the contents. We will propose improvements to the packaging format for the 2024 issue. Tohoku Ueno Co., Ltd. will utilize the many packaging examples we have cultivated so far, along with various new materials developed in recent years to address environmental issues, to offer the best combination. We will consider all aspects, including cost, material selection, processing methods, and environmental factors, to meet our customers' needs. We will conduct drop tests using the drop test machine from Ransomont, analyze the shock waveforms with test partners, and propose the optimal cushioning packaging design.
