Transportation/Packaging/Logistics Case: Shipping Box for Medical Equipment, Cushioning Material Improvement Design *Miyagi Prefecture
Reducing material costs and significantly improving workability! Introduction of a case study on improved cushioning material design.
We would like to introduce a case study on the improvement design of shipping boxes and cushioning materials for medical devices. We received a request to "ship medical devices of 8 different sizes using the same cushioning material." Our company proposed to design the base cushioning material to fit the largest size of the medical devices, while only changing the size of the upper cushioning material used for securing. By using a common pad for products of 8 different sizes, we were able to reduce material costs and significantly improve work efficiency. 【Benefits】 ■ There is no need to use different cushioning materials in the box for each product size, achieving improved work efficiency and streamlining. ■ By standardizing the base cushioning material, we have reduced material costs. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
